Overheard while I was working on a database for inventory - "11:11, make a wish" Someone actually heard me say that and repeated it. Funny thing is that while I was working on the table relationships and formatting the dates I was thinking "I wish this was easier!" And BINGO! I deleted a non-essential table and all is good in the database world.
Today is the last day of summer. I will be enjoying the temps which are supposed to go up to 28 degrees. I hope that biking for an hour will be a good choice later. I think a water bottle is a necissity (if thats spelled right). I have a feeling we wont have many chances to enjoy this weather because its snowing in Calgary and we usually get what they get only 5 degrees higher within the week. Cant stop the earth from turning I spose.
I wonder if I can keep my camera charged enough to get more than one decent photograph of the fall colours. This time of year a circular polarizing filter is very handy so you can get your skies as deep blue as possible without under exposing the landscape. Set your filter so that the darkest part is on the sky and the lighter part is toward the ground and you will be happy with your results. It adds a wonderful balance to your light.
I am still have all my personal items in storage and included in that are my prize fall prints. I have one example that I managed to find in my photobucket. I used Fuji 200 with the darker portion of the circular polarizing filter set on the background. If I did not then my light balance would have been off and you wouldnt have seen the details in the foreground.
Happy Shooting
