Went for a nice long drive with a friend today as she had an appointment and needed the company on the drive. While she was in her meeting I decided to hit up Giant Tiger for some time killing. There were some great sales but nothing I needed. I took a walk back to the van to see if my friend had come out yet and she was still busy. Remembering that I had left the house with no breakfast or even a drink of water, I decided that a quick trip to the Bulk Barn was in order. Found some gluten free snacks and some Kosher salt to make margaritas for the girls night tomorrow night. Then wandered back to Giant Tiger to kill more time. Whats that in front of me?? A large bucket of margarita mix (just add tequila and freeze - yipee!)
By this time I was positive my friend would be done by now so I made my way to the checkout and WOW look at that guy standing in the next line. Icy blue eyes, perfect smile, long blond hair..all the makings of the ultimate WOW effect! So now I have to make some excuse to talk to him. I had two people in front of me and the line was moving fast. Here is my chance!! "Sir do you want to go before me...you've been here longer.' To my disappointment he quickly said yes. I dont know why I expected him to say no; maybe I was hoping he would be more gentleman like and decline my offer and just stand behind me. But I let that go. He stood with his back to me and the view was even better - too bad I couldnt see both sides of him at once but we all know thats not possible.
Finally after waiting in a long line he gets to the cashier. Puts his purchases on the counter and the lady asked him if he had any plans for the holiday coming up. He said not really, just sitting on the deck with his Coors Light and watching the fireworks at the park. Then laughed (ooohhh that smile) and said he was a Coors guy at heart. He looked at me and saw my bucket of margarita mix and asked me if thats what I had planned for the holiday. OOOOHHHH MY CHANCE to talk to him! So of course I said I was a Coors girl but stumbled a bit on my words because his eyes were so magnetic - those ice blues. We exchanged small talk then he gathered up his stuff and left. Thats when it all came to an end - this mini love affair with a stranger in the Giant Tiger lineup. As I watched him leave I couldnt help think that I just let Mr.Right get away. Then I saw him riding through the parking lot on a beat up 10-speed bike with what seemed to be his girlfriend or wife in tow with a case of Coors Light strapped to the cargo rack on the back of her 10-speed. As I sit here now typing this Im listening to Meaghan Smith "If you Asked Me" and realized that the chance of getting a better look at those eyes has come to a grinding halt. *sigh*
What does that have to do with photography or graphics or gardens? Nothing whatsoever but I thought Id share anyway.
