Dedication? What happened to my dedication? I know...it got busy with other things. Sad and now I must hang my head in shame. I got too busy to come here and write a few words.
The last time I was here we had just endured a good size storm. It was supposed to be the endall of our nasty thick air but it wasnt. It rained for about ten minutes, the clouds swirled around like they meant business and then they left. Again, the vegetable garden was thankful. The pond, not so much. Its murky again and since there is no filter on it we have to just hope the peat I put in it keeps the algae under control. The pump gets turned on once in a while to keep the water from going stagnent and mosquitoes to nil. Yesterday I caught a toad trying to hide in the water but I only caught a glimps of him. Maybe it wasnt a toad, I know it wasnt a frog or he would have made himself a home there.
The flower gardens are not happy. They are over heated and over watered. The lawn has been overrun with snails which makes walking to the garden kind of an odd feeling. There is a distinct crunching under foot which tells me that the snails need to move on or prepare to be trampled.
I will try to keep this updated. Its been a rough couple weeks for me and all you would read is my blathering on about how miserable I am. I blame the heat....or is it my crummy attitude during this heavy heat. Ummm - ok - I admit it, my attitude sucks lately.
Till next time (and hopefully I will have something good to say)
